Is your packaging eco-friendly?
YES. All of our containers meet the BIOCOSC certification requirements,
which means they must be
completely recyclable.
- TUBES AND LOTIONS are PE (polyethylene), a type of recyclable plastic.
- SERUM is glass.
- BOXES are recyclable cardboard (paper).
How long can I safely keep my products? Is there an expiry date? How do I prolong the life of my products?
Regular cosmetics are made of chemical ingredients and are therefore
more resilient. Edelbio products contain at least 97% natural ingredients
– i.e. plant extracts, flower waters, fruit extracts, and non-processed
oils, so they are quite fragile. Products will remain fresh and stable
for at least 3 years before opening. Check interior label for the "after
opening" date (insert image here) for each product – usually
6-9 months.
The benefits of the active ingredients will be better preserved and
the overall product will last longer if stored in a dry, cool environment.
Refrigeration is not necessary but recommended in an otherwise hot and/or
humid environment.
The most important way to preserve your products
is to always close them properly after use.
What does Edelbio mean?
Edel comes from the Old High German
edeli, which means «
noble » and bio means « life, course, or way of living »,
from ancient Greek. However, in the modern world, particularly in Europe,
« bio » is used to mean biological, or organic. We've chosen
the name Edelbio to emphasize the inherent nobility, or dignity, of
the organic movement.
In Europe, « Edel » is also associated with Edelweiss (
Leontopodium
alpinum), the alpine plant that grows wild in the hills and mountains
of Switzerland. You may only know Edelweiss from the song of that name
in the Rogers and Hammerstein classic
The Sound of Music, with
the famous line « Ésmall and white, clean and bright, you look
happy to meet me."

is small, but it packs a powerful punch, and it
is the secret ingredient in many Edelbio products. See

I love your Girls' line. When will you add more products?
We are always in the process of creating new products for both our women and girls' line. Our laboratory in Switzerland is currently working on new lip gloss flavors - to appease the sweet tooth of our daughters. (They've also demanded edible lotion, but we're holding out on that one.) However, we are planning on offering an organic sunscreen for ultimate sun protection, and a hair care line for girls specially designed for soft, fine hair.
Our women's line is also in a state of constant evolution. In addition to the lip gloss that can be shared among mothers and daughters, we are developing new products for both face and body that share similar delicious ingredients. Because nature is constantly evolving, every day there are new elements found to have positive effects on human skin, and our ingredients list just keeps on growing. Our lab in Switzerland is at the forefront of the latest discoveries in phytoscience and skin care technology.
